Regional Skills Agenda research report

June 2005

This report sets out the inter-relationship between the programme and the regional/sector skills agenda in London.

ECOTEC has mapped the contribution of the 58 projects within the programme to the work of the London Skills Commission and Sector Skills Councils. This shows that the forthcoming regional skills partnership in London will inherit an effective programme of activities which both addresses disadvantage in the capital as well as meeting the needs of employers. 2. Overview of learning provision

This report examines learning provision planned under the Learning and Skills Council ESF Objective 3 Pan-London Programme. Its central theme is whether the regional nature of the Programme has rendered identifiable characteristics in terms of learning provision.

ECOTEC is undertaking a series of reports presenting an overview of activity for each of the five ESF Policy Fields agreed at national level. These reports focus on particular aspects of the Programme of interest to the LSC, providers and other stakeholders.
