Support for LONDON O3 projects

Information is collected by ECOTEC for the LSC through the Individualised Learner Record (ILR), in Short Record (SR) format. This site contains specifications, support manuals, forms and FAQs about these collections.

ECOTEC has selected PDM Data Limited to supply PDM Tracker to Learning Providers for the Pan-London O3 Programme.

PDM Tracker is Internet-based, so there is no software to install – all providers will be given training and user support will be provided by the combined ECOTEC and PDM Pan-London O3 Team.

PDM Tracker has a good track record of accurate data submission to the LSC. The system is easy to use and providers will have access to the full range of Tracker’s features, such as data accuracy checks and management reports.

FAQs

Can I choose whether to return data using “Provider Online” or “Provider Batch”?

No. The LONDON O3 programme uses PDM Tracker. This is a separate, Internet-based system that is linked to the LSC’s data collection systems. The system captures all data using the “Provider Online” method.

Is the LONDON O3 Electronic Data Management System different from the LSC’s “Provider Online” system?

It is a different system, although providers who are familiar with the LSC’s system should find the LONDON O3 system very similar. The LONDON O3 system is a Web-based system that runs through an Internet browser, which is the same technology used by the LSC’s Online Data Collection System. The LONDON O3 system may have a slightly different ‘look and feel’ and may collect slightly different data, but providers should find the functionality of the system almost identical to the LSC’s system.

Should I collect learner information on the LSC’s Short Record (SR) form?

No. A Short Record form has been designed to be used specifically for the LONDON O3 programme. Providers should ensure that they have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed to enable their computer to display the form.
